Naa Otua’s first novel, ‘The Dancing Tortoise’  was published in Ghana in 1995 and won the Ghana’s Book Award and the Valco Trust Award. It has been re-launched in September 2008, published by AuthorHouse.

The Dancing Tortoise explores the complex web of relationships in a modern Ghanaian family and is the story of arranged marriage, social climbing, adultery and domestic abuse. It is a fascinating insight into Ghanaian life and the conflicts that arise between the new and older generations.

Siobhan’s first book, ‘Antenatal & Postnatal Depression’ was published by Random House in 2000. Since then she has had three novels published by Hodder & Stoughton; ‘Sweet FA,’ ‘Frankie Says Relapse’ and ‘The Scene Stealers.’ Her latest novel, ‘Finding the Plot’ was published in 2007.

Siobhan is also a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines, is Writer in Residence for a group of 13 schools and runs weekly writers workshops for two London councils (Harrow and Hillingdon).
